13th International Conference and Workshop on Lobster Biology and Management (ICWL 2026)

New abstract deadline: 30 July 2026 → 31 August 2026 Theme: “Toward the sustainable conservation of large decapods” The 13th International Conference and Workshop on Lobster Biology and Management (ICWL 2026) will be held at the Centre Cultural Cap Vermell in Cala Ratjada, Mallorca, Spain, from 11–16 October 2026. The conference is returning to Europe, and this edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first ICWL, held in Western Australia. We are proud to host the ICWL in the Mediterranean — a cradle of cultures and the sea that was the origin of scientific research on lobsters. The theme for 2026 is “Toward the sustainable conservation of large decapods.” Conservation is one of the main objectives for the oceans today. Globally, the Sustainable Development Goals pay special attention to the marine environment, and UNESCO has declared this decade the Decade of the Oceans. This conference offers a major opportunity for researchers and managers to share knowledge and find solutions for the conservation of large decapods in Europe and beyond.
