Club Miseria: The Last Beat

Club Miseria: The Last Beat Bel Fullana Curated by Tolo Cañellas Club Miseria: The Last Beat is a new activation of the Club Miseria project, conceived by Bel Fullana and first presented at Casal Solleric in 2019. That first version turned the exhibition space into a kind of synthetic, dysfunctional, acid club — soaked in sound, green neon, digital aesthetics, rave culture, humour, excess and a visual energy close to the imaginary of energy drinks, post-internet culture and the night. This new appearance does not rebuild that club; it invokes it from elsewhere: as remnant, signal and last beat. The project unfolds at Casal Solleric through an archaeological capsule visible from the Born, an acid-green light intervention and a monumental inflatable sculpture in the courtyard — the central body of the proposal. Throughout the exhibition period, the courtyard will be permeated by a sound piece that turns the installation into a kind of desolate disco: a post-rave architecture in ruins, inhabited by the reverberation of a party that has already passed — or perhaps has not yet ended.
