From imagination to the screen. Introduction to fantastic cinema

Our imagination has fantastic ideas… but how do we get them onto the screen? We propose a workshop to get familiar with cinematic language and process and learn to make a simple fantastic short film. We’ll begin with Georges Méliès and then, through practical exercises, move simply from idea to script, from script to shooting (including very simple special effects) and finally to editing — ending the workshop with an audiovisual piece created or ready to keep working on. Participants who wish to take part in creating the short will be asked to sign a short authorisation form. Workshop recommended for families with children from 8 years old. Expect a full evening on Mallorca’s live circuit: arrive a little early, check door times on the ticket, and give yourself room to settle in before the first notes.
