Katharina Grosse at La Lonja, Palma: “Arrels” immersive painting

German artist Katharina Grosse, one of the most influential figures in international contemporary art, presents at the Lonja de Palma the exhibition “Arrels”, an ambitious site-specific project that transforms one of the city’s most emblematic Gothic buildings into a vast immersive painting. The show, co-produced by the Govern de les Illes Balears and Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporani de Palma, can be visited from 28 May 2026 to 31 January 2027. Curated by David Barro, the intervention proposes a radical experience between painting, architecture, nature and perception.
