Showcase: Balearic Women Dance Creators Laboratory

An open showcase of research and creation processes in dance. The Balearic Women Dance Creators Laboratory proposed an intensive five-day meeting where several creators present and share the materials they work with in their pieces. Drawing on methodologies developed by Basque choreographer Idoia Zabaleta, participants trained critical tools to recognise the value and power of their working materials — the gestures, ideas, bodies and forms that appear in a creation process. This project is part of “Dance, a commitment to creation” — a partnership between Es Baluard, EiMa Creació and Teatre Principal de Palma.
