Rediscovering Miró. The Magical Spark

Miró does not discover — he rediscovers: his own past, works in progress, discarded materials and lived spaces become engines of a process marked by revision, rupture and transformation. Taking as its starting point the previous exhibition “La guspira màgica” (The Magical Spark), this second part of the show deepens the role of chance encounters, the familiar and the everyday as triggers of creation. Joan Miró’s life path is a continuous journey and an eternal return. From the imposing scale of landscape to his intimate workspaces, wandering through his studios or visiting cities and countries, Miró returns again and again to the same references, recovers images from the past, reinterprets his vocabulary of signs, and even destroys his own work. Immersed in constant revision and discovery, rather than following a linear path, Miró seems to leap forward and back in time. Every journey out and back is a new beginning.
