A group of young theatre-makers — nostalgic and dreamers — set on breaking with the logic of prevailing ‘cool’. A purpose as delirious as it is passionate: to bring La bella Helena back to the stage, the show the “francotiradores” of the Teatre Lliure premiered in 1979. After dissecting the millennial condition last season, the unbuttoned humour of Miquel Mas Fiol’s neo-variety returns with a show about the strength of collective work and the unreliable company of nostalgia. An act of love for the theatre craft, away from followers and flashes, and a recognition of the rebellious spirit that stubbornly drives us to keep making theatre.
