Over decades, entrepreneur Mariano Yera (Tudela, 1942 – Madrid, 2024) built one of Spain’s most significant private collections of contemporary art. Twenty key works — abstract and figurative — temporarily join the Juan March Foundation museum collections. They deepen the Spanish panorama already on view: complementing artists already present (Eduardo Arroyo, Rafael Canogar, Equipo Crónica) and adding voices that weren’t (Perejaume, Zush/Evru, Equipo Realidad) — a sharper read of Spanish art in the second half of the twentieth century.
