Drawing like Steinberg

Can a simple line become a face, a city or an animal? In this workshop we discover how Saul Steinberg turned drawing into a way of thinking, playing and telling stories. During the visit to the exhibition dedicated to the artist we will look at how he used lines, objects and symbols to create images full of imagination. Afterwards we put his visual games into practice, making drawings that transform the everyday into something unexpected through imagination, humour and observation. The facilitator graduated in Art History from the Universitat de les Illes Balears (2020) and holds a Master’s in Cultural Management from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya – Universitat de Girona (2024). Between 2017 and 2020 he was a fellow in the Education Department of the Fundación Juan March in Palma; since 2021 he coordinates temporary exhibitions and the collection there and manages the education programme.
