Focus on practices rooted in land, sea or manufacturing. The aim: present contemporary art as a tool to rethink the world (landscape, food, clothes and more) from different subjects (social sciences, biology, geology…) with visual arts as the guide. Core ideas: eco-dependence and sustainability via classroom work and visits to natural and waste-management sites. The art practice: a collective installation from recycled materials (textile, paper, clay). Creator: Marijo Ribas Visual artist, researcher and designer. Her practice looks critically at class and gender representation, identity geopolitics and the care or exploitation of territory.
