Workshop: Encouraging a love of reading

This workshop helps plant reading with care: foster a love of books in children and support the habit of reading at home. Reading in early childhood is one of the strongest strategies for linguistic intelligence — the foundation of cognitive, emotional and social development. The aim is to build a family climate that lovingly stimulates verbal communication, storytelling and interest in books — even before children are old enough to learn to read — because it boosts motivation, reading comprehension and effective reading, keys to school study. A child who reads tends to become more sensitive and empathetic, with a greater capacity to think, express themselves and write. The activity has three sessions: 30 September. 7 October. 21 October.
