15th Iberian Congress on Animal Genetic Resources

Welcome to the 15th Iberian Congress on Animal Genetic Resources, 29–31 October 2026 in Palma, at the Auditorio Jovellanos of the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). Organised by the Institut de Recerca i Formació Agroalimentària i Pesquera de les Illes Balears (IRFAP) together with the Sociedad Española para los Recursos Genéticos Animales (SERGA) and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Recursos Genéticos Animais (SPREGA), the congress fosters knowledge exchange, research dissemination and dialogue among professionals, researchers and specialists in the conservation and management of animal genetic resources — Iberian and international. Oral and poster contributions are welcome on breed genetic diversity, productive and demographic characterisation, and management, conservation, improvement and valorisation of Animal Genetic Resources (AnGR). The programme will include keynote lectures, round tables, scientific presentations and workshops by recognised experts — a key space for reflection, scientific collaboration and exchange among researchers, professionals, students and institutional representatives.
